Green Meadows Preschool’s family atmosphere encourages a complete person.  Each child’s development is bound to a supporting, loving, prepared, and qualified teacher. Our philosophy comprehends early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploration, and discovery. Preschool children are creative and receptive. The staff strives to nurture and encourage qualities in children that facilitate growth toward that of becoming a well-rounded young person. Our purpose is to provide a safe, loving, and family-like environment that facilitates social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and an overall development of the child as a whole.

 

Structured toward our philosophy and purpose, the Green Meadows Preschool curriculum includes various activities. Children experience sharing and conversation time, stories, songs and finger plays. Creative art activities are associated with their learning activities. Games and large muscle activities promote coordination and exercise. If you peek into our large playground you will often find the kids learning and playing soccer with an experienced coach. Cooking experiences raise an awareness to food, their tastes, and food preparation.  

 

Science and nature activities are among children’s favorite while they explore and discover the world around them. Field trips are always exciting, educational, fun, and adventurous. Exposure to shapes, colors, numbers, and letters facilitate a familiarity with what will become their continued education. Cultural appreciation provides for a well-rounded social experience in our country of people from around the globe.  Finally, gymnastics and swimming lessons are also optional activities offered throughout the year.
